| Absolutely charming, these night and day earrings are made in the delicious combination of 18k yellow gold and natural turquoise. The removal of the tear-drop pendant is designed for the "day wear," while the two pieces worn together were originally designed for "night wear." Minor separation is noticeable at the bottom of one of the top pieces; the other appears to have minor restoration at the same juncture, where the bottom is attached to the circular turquoise disc. In typical night/day design,the earrings are worn by opening the top and entering the ear from the back: they fasten in the front. These petite earrings measure 1 3/16" in length, when together; when separated, the top piece measures 5/8" and the bottom pendant, 11/16". The earrings weigh 1.5 grams, c. 1870. | ||||||
