| Like a gem-candy gumdrop, this natural cabachon red spinel is held in a basket setting in a beautifully worked 20k yellow gold ring. It's an unusually high cabachon cut but it looks yummy in this ring and as enough light passes through the prongs, the life of the stone really pops. There is a small chip on the base of the stone (underneath); the stone was obviously in this condition when it was set around 1900. It is size 5.5 and weighs 7.8 grams. There is something very rich and luscious about this ring. Clearly, it is unique and looks like no other: so interesting, warm, and almost edible! | ||||||
