| This free form, custom designed ring is characteristic of the 70's and features a 20mm x 12mm unusual champagne colored moonstone with definite adularescence (the phenomenon which is the light passing over the stone when it is rotated; thus, the name "moonstone."). Currently, the ring is size 5-5 1/4 and it weighs 13 grams. Inside the shank it is signed although it is difficult to make out the signature. The original owner tells us that it was made by a jeweler (whose first name is Michael and confirmed in the signature) in the Detroit, Michigan area who worked during the 1970's (maybe longer) and had a private studio / gallery where he did his custom work for a substantial clientele. Designed to be worn with the stone on the top of the finger, the impression is graceful, interesting, and very creative. | ||
