| This is distinguished from any other existed Tomotaro's art works because of its uniqueness. This vase is composed of six paneled body and oil container fitting body's rim. Part to control core's position Glass cover are attached to use as oil lamp. Flowers and birds are painted in under glaze which was Tomotaro's specialty on three panels of six. Other three panels and upper part and bottom part finishing with paint and gold are graceful, contrast with picturesque panels of flowers and birds. The purpose of this vase is under examination, it is supposed to be used by royal or nobles, therefore. Provenance owner was a famous Japanese-style painter. Signed on base "Yugyokuen Tojyu Sei", writing with black glaze that is same as the flame of panels.
