This exhibition quality lyrical Momoyama styled Shino chawan is by Mino veteran potter, Yamada Seiji. Glazed in a uroi (wet looking) Muji-Shino glaze over some rapid iron brushwork, this chawan is exceptionally well modeled and has a wide variety of color tones running from pure snow white to yellowish and coral highlights.
