Rare 17th century oil on canvas of young girl and her dog-bears the crest of the VALCARCE FAMILY-the dog appears to be a King Charles Spaniel-piece is dated 1608-has written into painting AETATIS SUR 3...OR..BR..1608--girl is dressed in finery of the period holding cherries in her hands-girl stands on colored marble floor with rich draperies and urn in background-piece recently cleaned and restored professionally-gold leaf frame is later and shows wear-35 inches by 45 inches-add 5 inches all around for antique frame--exceptional period painting
