French bronze sculpture of the Greek Cynic philosopher Diogenes--he carried a lit lamp on the streets in daylight " looking for the last honest man-patina is antico verde-has DIOGENES engraved on base-was made in the 1860s when the French were casting classic statues with the new mensuration system that scaled down large statues--lost wax process with fine detail-minor wear to patina-overall condition excellent- no repairs--24 inches high and heavy--by the way, Diogenes never found the honest man
