Very large Japanese Kutani porcelain platter or charger, approx. 20-1/4" x 17" x 3"H, with the interior hand decorated in iron red and turquoise glazes and accented with delicate gilt tracery overall. It has four cartouches with landscape scenes around the interior surrounded by geometric patterns. The back has foliate decorations around the rim and nine character marks in the iron red glaze in the center.

Rare large Chinese temple altar front-made of elmwood-covered with gilt and red lacquer--currently has a bamboo shade back drop that was added much later-easily detached to expand depth of piece to accommodate larger sculpture--currently 64 inches high-48 inches wide and 14 inches deep-wear to lacquer on base-some of top carving reglued-piece is complete and stunning-ca 1800-tongue and groove construction-hand carved beautifully
