Rare amulet miniature made in Imperial Russia, 19th century. The amulet features the face of ST SERGUIS - the Russian patron saint of the monks and peace makers. This square amulet has a damaged silver (84 zlot) sheath with a mustard velvet back. The saint icon is missing its face and parts of its robe. It has Russian (?) words surrounding its head with a burst of light in the background. The piece measures 2" x 1.6". It's marked 84 at the bottom.
