This beautiful miniature mandolin was made in Holland circa 19th century of sterling silver. This piece is chased along the front and back with a lovely scenic motif. The front scene is of two people relaxing while on the back it shows people working. This finely detailed musical instrument was once used as a perfume bottle. The top opens to reveal a small opening which used to have a stopper. Very beautiful miniature would be a great addition to any collection!!
