Figural clay vessel with finely painted geometic line painting as practiced by the
Shipibo Indians of Peru at the headwaters of the Amazon River (the people that made this jug). This piece was collected from the native indians in the 1960s. This lovely clutch bag with spring handle is splendid to the touch - so soft and smooth giving the feeling of utter elegance. The clasp is stained in the center to create eye appeal, the engraving adds a touch of brightness and the inset beads are the frosting on the cake. A small mirror in case and a coin purse is tucked into the very clean interior. The tiniest bit of edge wear to some edges.

Blackfoot Indian leggings and moccasins from the 1940-50s. Strong design in bright colored beads on leather make these American Indian pieces very desirable. The moccasins measure 9 1/2 inches and the leggings measure 9 1/2 inches. There are some areas with minor bead loss along the edges of the moccasins and leggings. Soles of the moccasins are worn with one area of repair to the sole with a hole as seen in the photo. Email us with any questions.
