| Peter returns often to this form and has produced many exciting variations including vases with two necks. The combination of thrown and carved forms provides the base for applied slip and sgraffito decoration. The decoration contrasts with the clay body that shows orange flashing from the firing and the “ears” provide a horizontal thrust to an otherwise severely vertical form.
