Before the Swan logo, Swarovski used the S.A.L. mark, for Swarovski America, Ltd. These pieces tended to be more metal and less crystal, with less pave surfacing. This pin is marked S.A.L.©, bearing the well known Swarovski crystals with a large black faceted center and beautifully finished surfaces. The pin measures 2 1/4" wide and slightly less high. It is in spectacular condition with no stones missing and no damage to the pin itself.

Lane, well known for his critter pins, and, especially for his frogs, has designed this adorable little frog, gold and amber in color, and dressed to the nines with striped "pants" and sleeves, and a three-button "vest." This is an unusual piece, don't you think? It is a mink, the animal, cast in sterling silver and set with good sized marcasites and eyes the color of rubies, which they might actually be. This beauty is approximately 2" wide by 1" tall. It is marked simply 925. Two of the tail stones are missing. Otherwise, this piece is in pristine condition.
