| The piercing on this sterling silver piece tells you it is an old vintage server. It is also marked copyrighted on the reverse. In order to preserve the copyright for the first 16 years it was necessary to use the inscription "copyrighted" The copyright expired after 16 years so there was no longer reason to continue it. So it is about 1904 that copyrighted was no longer imprinted on sterling silver flatware making this piece prior 1904. Length 7 1/2". Excellent condition. The designs of the Versailles pattern were copied from the murals and tapestries at the Palais de Versailles, France. | ||
