Wood Carving VIJAYANAGAR - South India Circa 17th Century Beautiful work representing three personages, one riding a prancing horse while the two others fight with a rampart tiger. The epic scene probably describes a Mahabaratha episode. Hardwood with remains of crusty areas from the original painting. Nice and bright patina. Fair condition. Height: 60 cm Wide: 29 cm

BRONZE SCULPTURE FROM INDIA - PALA PERIOD – CIRCA 11TH CENTURY. Measures: Height: 22cm Wide: 20 cm Weight: 4,9 kg Greenish patina, good condition. The elephant- headed deity sitting on a squared base wearing beaded hems tied in the back. Four handed with some attributes in the upper hands. Multiple jewelry adorning the body as bracelets on hands and ankles. The trunk curled to his right. The hair in a conical chignon with a foliate tiara.
