| PAGAN STANDING BUDA Country: Burma Period: 11th-12th century Height: 52cm. Material: Copper alloy Early standing bronze Buddha image wearing a silk cloth which softly covers the whole body. The hands are in the classical Pagan style mudra, the right hand in abbhaya mudra, a gesture of protection and the left, holding the edge of this robe. Tight curls and ushisha crowns the head tipically topped by a small lotus. Patina untouched is crusty and beautiful brownish colour. All in perfect condition. This piece is absolutely guarantee regarding the age and provenance. | ||
