Cizhou wares are heavily potted and boldly decorated with freely drawn designs. This piece has a flattened concave surface decorated with a flower where the head would rest. Most likely Republic Period, first half of the 20th C, and is in very good, original firing condition with no repairs. DIMENSIONS: 9 long (24 cm) x 4 wide (11.4 cm).
