This original watercolor measures approximately 12 by 16 inches (sight) and it is matted under glass in a 15 by 19 inch frame.

It is signed lower left, Verna Evans.

Verna Evans was an artist living in San Marino, California during the early to middle 20th century. She was a student of Millard Sheets and also exhibited at local art shows in San Bernardino County.

This is only one work from a folio collection purchased many years ago from a local estate.

It is in excellent condition.

It has the seal and signature of the artist, Li Tong Yuan.

The subject is a pair of blue kingfishers both trying to eat the same fish.

It is in excellent condition and has very fine and subtle details.

This original Chinese watercolor painting measures 25 by 25 inches (ink and watercolor painting only) and 29 by 69 inches, including the brocaded scroll it is mounted on.

It has the seal and signature of the artist, Hong Jun, along the lower right side of the painting. It also has a collector's seal in the lower left corner.

The subject is a water garden scene with pink lotus flowers with large leaves in shadow and small fish swimming through.

This painting was painted with a very loose hand, but by an obviously talented artist.

This original ink and watercolor painting mounted as a scroll dates from the middle to the latter part of the 20th Century.

It is in excellent condition.

This original contemporary Chinese ink and watercolor painting measures 25 by 25 inches, and 29 by 69 inches, including the silk brocaded scroll it is mounted on.

It has the seal and signature of the artist, Shen Mei (1947- ) on the left hand edge. It also has two additional collector's seals.

Shen Mei is a contemporary artist working in China today. She was a student of Tian Shiguang and He Jia Ying. She is currently the president of the Huanghe Art College. Her works are held in the Henan Art Museum in China.

The subject is a still life of a fan with a view of the Chinese garden beyond.

This painting has intricate details and subtle colors and shading.

It is in excellent condition.

It has the seal and signature of the artist, Li Tong Yuan (1958- ) along with one collector's seal.

The subject is a group of five cranes standing and preening in a rippled pond.

It is in excellent condition and has very fine and subtle details. This is an outstanding example of how some Contemporary Chinese Art is influenced by Western Art more than the traditional Chinese styles.

This original watercolor painting on water color paper measures 15 by 22 inches.

It dates circa 1940-1960 from a regional school of watercolor painting found in, but not limited to California.

It is in excellent condition and ready to be matted and framed.

This is an original watercolor painting and NOT a glycee or print of any kind.

This is one painting that was acquired as part of a collection of original California watercolors. Many were signed, but the unsigned works were of similar styles, time period and quality to a number of the signed ones.

A portion of the collection is represented by signed watercolors by Robert Landry. A few others, unsigned or with different names appear to have been painted by his students.

(NOTE) We will be keeping some of both the signed and unsigned paintings from this collection for ourselves. In a weak economy, with a falling dollar, they are great investments that can be hung on a wall and enjoyed, feeding both one's soul and pocketbook at the same time.

Biographical information: Robert Landry (1921-1991) ... Born: Washington, D.C.

Studied: Abbott Art School, Art Instruction, Inc. Member: San Diego Watercolor Society, Watercolor West.

Robert Landry attended high school on the East Coast then went into the military service during World War 11. After the war, he studied art in Washington, D.C. and Minneapolis on the G.I. Bill.

He became a commercial illustrator for the United States Air Force Graphic Arts Division at the Pentagon, and art director for the Federal Aviation Agency and Convair Astronautics.

After the late 1940s, Landry began a serious painting career and started exhibiting fine art watercolors. His paintings often depicted regional subjects with buildings, boats or coastline structures. Creating a mood was important to him and gives his works a narrative quality.

Robert Landry's watercolors were primarily sold through art galleries in San Diego and Dallas. He also taught at watercolor workshops near his home in San Diego and in traveling workshops held in Oregon, Arizona and Hawaii.

He is listed in numerous artist's biographical publications. His works have also sold at auctions over the years, such as John Moran Auctions in Pasadena, California. He is also listed on Askart.com and other art websites.

The subject is a view of temples in a high mountain landscape shrouded in fog.

It is in excellent condition,with the exception of a few marks on the scroll, but not on the painting itself.
