A large iron sword with decorated bronze handle, Central Asia, late 1st Millennium BC. The long, narrow iron blade with central midriff is set into a tubular bronze handle that is decorated with a raised floral or organic motif. The narrowing concentric circles adorn the base of the handle. The blade had some corrosion but is stable and has been reset into the handle. L: 23 ¼" (59.1 cm). Islamic bronze pear-shaped bottle, Iran, 9th - 10th Century AD. Nicely decorated with lotus buds in relief, neck ending in rosette-shaped mouth. Intact with deep patination with areas of green and red. H: 5 3/16" (13.7 cm). Ex London collection, acquired in the 1980's.
Small bronze figure of Genius, Roman, c.2nd - 3rd Century AD, with cloak draped over shoulder and holding cornucopiae. Right hand, which most likely held a patera, is missing and with thick olive patination. H: 2 5/8" (6.6 cm). Mounted on antique stone base. Ex old French collection, acquired in the 1970's.
A large terracotta incantation bowl, Near East, c.5th - 6th Century AD. The bowl is high-walled, with raised flat base and turned out lip. The outer walls have been decorated with concentric grooved below the rim and vertical impressions, which give a ripple effect. The interior with lines of 'pseudo-script' imitating Syriac or Aramaic around a demon with tall body and long appendages, another facing on the other side of the bowl. Diam: 10 3/8" (26.4 cm). Bronze figure of Kore, Eastern Mediterranean, c.5th - 4th Century BC, with stiff pose - hands to sides and feet together. Probably a Phoenician or Syrian piece with Greek influence. Nice brown patina. H: 2 11/16" (6.8 cm). Ex old French collection, acquired in the 1970's.

A handsome wooden male tomb figure, Middle Kingdom, c. 1980 - 1630 BC, wearing a long, tight-fitting garment with moveable arms. The facial features are carved as well as highlighted in black and white paint. Intact, no restoration. Stands 8" tall with stand. Ex Australian collection.
A molded terracotta figure of the God Thoth, Ptolemaic, c.3rd - 2nd Century BC. The god is in the form of a baboon, standing on his hind legs, hands at chest level with palm out in a stance of adoration. Simplistic details and traces of red pigment. A tall bronze figure of Osiris, Late Period, c.664 - 343 BC. He is mummiform, wearing Atef crown, false beard, and holding crook and flail. Nice detail to the face and slender form.
