An attractive terracotta figure of Bes, Ptolemaic Period, c. 2nd - 1st Century BC, naked, wearing a feathered headdress, standing with hands on his knees. The back is unmodelled with circular vent, the base with some losses. H: 5 7/8" (14.9 cm). Beautifully detailed with excellent style and traces of red pigment. Cf.
