A green glaze scarab and scaraboid, New Kingdom, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, each with well-preserved glaze. The scarab with Horus and a uraeus on base, nose chipped. 15 x 14mm. The scaraboid with a kheper between feathers of Ma’at, 16 x 10mm. Ex Thomas Collingwood collection, Philadelphia, acquired before 1970.

A terracotta male head and an Apis Bull, Roman Period, 1st - 2nd Century AD, the head of the bull depicted wearing a solar headdress, the male head with naturalistic detail. The head of the Apis Bull intact with traces of dressing, H: 4 3/4" (12.1 cm), the male head with some weathering, H: 3 "Ptolemaic and Roman terracottas from Egypt in the British Museum", pl. 130, no. 3719. Ex old English private collection, purchased in Egypt in the early 20th Century.

A terracotta pot-support with mask of Papposeilenos, Ptolemaic Period, late 3rd - Mid-1st Century BC, with long striated beard, within an arched panel. The back is plain, the edge of the fire bowl still evident. H: 3 7/8" (9.8 cm). On custom base. Cf. An attractive terracotta figure of Bes, Ptolemaic Period, c. 2nd - 1st Century BC, naked, wearing a feathered headdress, standing with hands on his knees. The back is unmodelled with circular vent, the base with some losses. H: 5 7/8" (14.9 cm). Beautifully detailed with excellent style and traces of red pigment. Cf. A molded terracotta figure of the God Thoth, Ptolemaic, c.3rd - 2nd Century BC. The god is in the form of a baboon, standing on his hind legs, hands at chest level with palm out in a stance of adoration. Simplistic details and traces of red pigment. Intact, with loss of pigment and gesso. H: 3 1/4" (8.4 cm). Ex old Irish collection.
