A pair of South Italian Greek terracotta vessels, c.4th - 3rd Century BC, including a small skyphos and miniature olpe with palmette on front. Both intact, the skyphos with a minor rim chip and some earthen encrustation. H: 1 1/4" (3.2 cm) & 2 1/8" (5.4 cm). Ex 19th century collection, the skyphos with old label on the inside.

A pair of Greek pottery vessels. The first is a chalice with a thin black slip, H: 4" (10.1 cm), a more unusual shape with a minor repair to the base. The second vessel is an Xenon-Ware cup with split handle and a geometric design in orange on one side, H: 2 3/4" (7 cm). Intact. Ex Dr. Gilles Collection, Germany, acquired during the 1950’s & 60’s.

A beautiful Hellenistic Megarian red-ware bowl, 2nd - 1st Century BC, the base centering a rosette, molded relief with petals radiating from a central rosette, small chevron-type devices between. Intact with two very minor rim nicks. D: 3" (7.6 cm); H: 2 1/8" (5.3 cm). Ex C.A. collection, Geneva, formed in the 1970’s. A lovely piece!

An Etruscan imitation of a Proto-Corinthian aryballos with prancing lions, c. 7th Century BC, with tall, tapering body with flat base, and small flat handle attached to wide, flat rim. Nice decoration consisting of purple and brown banding above and below three attenuated lions. H: 4" (10.2 cm). Antique restoration to rim, otherwise intact. Ex Dr. Gilles Collection, Germany, acquired during the 1950’s & 60’s.

An Anatolian black-ware pottery jar, c. 3rd Millennium BC, the body spherical with two opposing pierced lugs and a small nipple, the neck wide and cylindrical with two opposing perforations just below the flared mouth, on three conical legs. The vessel is decorated with incised designs including two bands of triangles and a major zigzag pattern around the side of the body. A pair of Greek pottery vessels. The first is a Campanian fish plate, Greek South Italy, c. 340 - 320 BC, with raised foot and central depression, the top decorated with a pair of fish and a shell, rosette pattern at center. Repaired from shards, no restoration. H: 1 7/8" (4.8 cm); Dia: 5" (12.8 cm). The second vessel is a Corinthian aryballos, 7th - 6th Century BC, intact but with some surface weathering. H: 2 7/8" (7.3 cm). Ex English private collection.

A Greek Geometric bowl with serpent-like handles, Boeotia, mid 8th Century BC. The outside of the vessel is finely decorated with brown lines and loops filled with cross- hatching and the inside is solid brown with one uncolored circular band. Intact and a choice example! D: 6 1/8" (15.4 cm). Cp. CVA Heidelberg 3, fig. 8; Ex New York collection. Rare type!
