A lot of 3 Greek nice terracotta fragments, c.4th – 1st Century BC. Two are from Alexandria, Egypt and represent Isis and Harpokrates, the last is the torso of a female figure. Lengths from 3” to 4 1/8” (7 to 9 cm).
A Hellenistic terracotta figure of Aphrodite, 3rd Century BC. The goddess, nude to the waist, is seated upon the back of a goose. She is wrapped in a himation, which billows up behind her back, and rests her left hand on the back of the bird. The whole scene rests upon a low, square base. Intact with traces of original slip. H: 5" (12.7 cm). Ex Christie's New York, April 1999.
