Central Asia. A large steep-sided Nal Culture bowl, Indus Valley Civilization, c. 3,000 – 2,500 BC. The side of the terracotta bowl are vertical with outward turned lip, the bottom sharply tapering into a small flattened base. The sides are decorated alternating geometric designs in deep brown paint. H: 3 1/8” (8.1 cm). Intact with a small rim chip. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
