A beautiful Coptic textile panel with woman and four Nereids, Egypt, c. 6th - 7th Century AD, linen and wool. The panel decoration consists of a central medallion containing the bust of a fashionable lady (Aphrodite?) within a beaded border, winged Nereids above and below flying amidst a scene involving birds, small animals and stylized plants. A Roman bronze votive of an eagle, c. 2nd - 3rd Century AD, standing upon the head of a stag, which in turn rests upon a tall stepped base. The figure is nicely detailed, the wings crossed behind. H: 3 5/8" (9.2 cm). Very attractive with an even patination, one of the stags horns is missing. Ex Oregon private collection.
A lot of 2 2nd Intermediate steatite scarabs, c. 1750 - 1570 BC. The first with Horus kneeling between two erect cobras, 16 x 11mm, intact, no glaze. The second of tabular form with pseudo-signs on the base, 10 x8mm. Nicely carved for its small size. Ex Los Angeles private collection.

A nice Roman terracotta mold of winged Erote, Roman, 1st - 2nd Century AD. This is the upper part of perhaps a two part mold, a large alpha incised into the outside. The frontal portion of the figure is featured in the mold with a large circular area around the feet. Intact with deposits. L: 3 1/8" (7.9 cm). Ex Illinois collection, acquired in the 1950ís.

A large terracotta mold for a horse and rider figure, Hellenistic, 3rd - 1st Century BC. The mold is not complete, but the head and neck of the horse is present as well as parts of the rider. Some earthen encrustation. 7" x 7" (17.8 x 17.8 cm). Ex Illinois collection. Ancient Greek molds for terracotta figures are very tough to come by and this is a very nice example! A large Jalisco terracotta jar with molded heads, West Mexico, c. 200 BC - AD 350. All eight heads are nicely detailed and wears a tall headdress, three raised pellets between them. 7" ( 17.8 cm); Dia: 10 3/4" (27.3 cm). Some minor chipping to the faces.
