A choice carnelian intaglio depicting Cupid playing with a frisking kid, Roman, 1st - 2nd Century AD, the details well cut in fine style. A beautiful ring stone with an excellent polish after all these years. Few minor edge nicks. 15 x 13mm. Found in Britain. Ex Los Angeles private collection.

A bronze ring with orange glass intaglio depicting a theatre mask, Roman, c. 1st Century BC, with nice detail. The glass ring stone is still set tight within its original ring. Some light pitting and crack through the upper right corner. The bronze ring well preserved with a nice brown patina. Ring size roughly 9 1/2. Stone measures 15 x 12mm. Ex Los Angeles private collection.

A nice group of Roman bone implements. Group includes hairpins, one topped with a cross and another by a dog, a spoon and a stylus for writing on wax tablets. Largest measures 4 1/4" (10.8 cm) in length. Some with damage to the tips. Each nicely preserved with attractive patination. Ex Los Angeles private collection.

A lot of 2 fragments of Roman wall painting and a section of mosaic flooring, c. 1st Century AD. The two section of stucco with the original painted surfaces in deep reddish purple, red and golden yellow. The mosaic floor section with black tesserae within a grey matrix. Largest piece measures 2 1/2" x 2" (6.4 x 5 cm). Ex Dr. Gilles Collection, Germany, acquired during the 1950’s & 60’s.

A fragment of stucco frieze with raised floral pattern, Roman, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, a rectangular ledge above. The bottom of the floral frieze is rounded with a V-shaped groove bellow followed by a ridge with a rounded profile with dentiles beneath. 8 1/4" x 7 3/8" x 2 3/4" (20.9 x 18.8 x 7 cm). Remains of dressing and earthen deposits. Ex Dr. Gilles Collection, Germany, acquired during the 1950’s & 60’s.

A nice yellow-glass bottle, Eastern Mediterranean, Islamic Period, c. 7th - 8th Century AD, the body tubular with hollow pontil pushed up into the interior, the neck tapering with ripples into a very narrow mouth with thick lip. H: 7 1/8" (18.1 cm). Intact with light iridescence and earthen deposits. Ex Chicago private collection.

A pair of Islamic glazed lamps. The first is a Nishapur turquoise glazed lamp with cop base, c. 12th Century, the color nice with some areas of glaze degradation. H: 3 1/2" (8.8 cm). The second is another Islamic type with hanging lugs flanking the fill-hole, c. 10th - 13th Century, deep olive green with signs of heavy use and light earthen deposits. L: 5" (12.8 cm). Ex Stuart Bart collection, New York, acquired prior to 1970.

The first is a beautiful glazed example, c. 12th - 15th Century, with channel spout and tall neck and spout; H: 3 1/2" (8.9 cm); L: 4 1/2" (11.4 cm); the second a terracotta 'saucer’ type lamp, Eastern Mediterranean, c. 10th - 13th Century, with small raised body at center of concave dish, fill-hole at top and large handle, Dia: 3 3/4" (9.5 cm).
