| A lot of 8 bronze & iron fibulae. Lot includes a rare Italic plate brooch, c. 10th - 8th Century BC (Hattatt (1987), no. 1353), 4 other bronze Italic types, c. 8th - 5th Century BC (Hattatt (1987), no. 198-9), a pair of Aucissa types from the 1st Century AD, one in iron, and last a bronze fibula with iron pin from eastern Europe. Largest measures 3 3/8" (8.6 cm). Some without pins but a nice mixed group, the first type very rarely offered! Ex Los Angeles private collection. | |||||
