| A gray buff terracotta fitting in the form of a spool, Balkans, Vinca Culture, c.5th Millennium BC. The piece sits on a triangular base with the points rising to knobs. Centrally pierced shaft. H: 1 7/8" (4.8cm). Ex German private collection; Ex. Royal Athena Gallery, New York. Also included, a Vinca Culture terracotta hook, c.5th Millennium BC, with large hole in base for mounting.
