| A large terracotta mold for a horse and rider figure, Hellenistic, 3rd - 1st Century BC. The mold is not complete, but the head and neck of the horse is present as well as parts of the rider. Some earthen encrustation. 7" x 7" (17.8 x 17.8 cm). Ex Illinois collection. Ancient Greek molds for terracotta figures are very tough to come by and this is a very nice example!
