| A molded terracotta figure of the God Thoth, Ptolemaic, c.3rd - 2nd Century BC. The god is in the form of a baboon, standing on his hind legs, hands at chest level with palm out in a stance of adoration. Simplistic details and traces of red pigment. Intact, with loss of pigment and gesso. H: 3 1/4" (8.4 cm). Ex old Irish collection. | ||
