Best known for his 1950's Modernist designs, this sterling and cabachon amethyst necklace by Taxco artist Sigi Pineda is a wonderful example of his work. A compelling, bold design in sterling, the focal point is an off center round amethyst that looks suspended in space. This necklace is hinged on both sides and closes with a secure push in clasp. Amazing design and construction in this 2" wide sterling cuff by Taxco silversmith Gerardo Lopez, c.1950. Wonderful silver shapes and silver beads are interspersed with shapes that have been oxidized making great contrast. This piece measures 6" around with an opening of 1 1/4" but is adjustable somewhat. It is in fine original condition, weighs 72 grams and is signed for Lopez as shown. A fabulous Taxco bracelet by a great designer.

Fabulous bold, strong design in this sterling pendant and matching earrings by American studio artist Henry Steig. Circa 1950, the pendant measures 2 1/4" long and 1 1/2" at the widest point. It is one continues piece of silver including the bail and hangs on a sterling chain original to the piece. This is a solid, heavy pendant, weighing 40 grams including the chain.The jumpring has been replaced. YEOW!! This is one incredible bracelet. Spectacular design and construction, the pictures tell everything. The eight panels are all triple hinged and move.There is a secure closing push in clasp. It measures approximately 6 3/4" in the inside of the bracelet.It is hard to get exact because it is rounded and fans out. It is a full 2 3/4" wide and weighs an amazing 221 grams. A superb and rare hand hammered sterling pin with a center carnelian by New York studio artist Sam Kramer. Three dimensional and sculptural, the center piece looks very much like a propeller. One almost expects it to twirl. This pin measures 2" diameter and is in fine condition with the exception of a slight bit of solder at the base of the pin stem. I have included a photo of the area.
