| Lovely and well made shooting medal from Carls Schutzen Gilde Aachen. Very well made and nicely toned medal looks to be real silver. The front of the medallion shows a Teutonic knight. I believe the rear shows the coat of arms of the shooting club, which dates back centuries. The rear of the crown is hand engraved and reads: "II Ehrenpreis Eroffnungs schiessen A.K. Sch. G. Tivoli 1897. Wonderfully designed medal with a braided, double twist silver wire brder around the medallion. Very solid at 1.4 ounces. A wonderful decoration with a lot of character. | |||||||||
