WWII German Steel Helmet For Field Police
Nice field police helmet. Not the light weight aluminum, but the heavy steel for the business end of police matters. Original liner is missing one tongue. It has some other damage, but is mostly there and not really falling apart. The dome pad is loose but there. I see "Eason" written on it 4 times; He was the vet from whose family I purchased this from. The shell is very nice and has the vent holes near the decals typical of police helmets. Original decals show minimal wear and both have black borders. Size is unknown with the only mark on the shell being an unknown maker mark. It looks like a box with a "T" in it and something over the "T". IF YOU KNOW what this mark means please let me know; It would be much appreciated. An interesting helmet for you type collectors.
