| Excellent WKC aluminum luftwaffe sword with presentation reading "Die 5/801 Ihrem Batteriechef Hauptman Gabriel 26 Marz 1941". 5/801 refers to the actual unit number . The rest translates to "Our battery chief Captian Gabirel March 26, 1941". Some minor scratching as aluminum fittings are prone to. Leather hanger and scabbard show some wear; a bit heavier on the hanger but both still respectable. Handle is in excellent shape with only the lightest of wear to the leather grip. Blade is near mint and shows a nice WKC trademark. All in all a very nice sword with a quite rare presentation not often found on luftwaffe swords. A keeper. | |||||||||||||||
