From my personal purse collection of 25 years, this is a Victorian Black Velvet purse w/an Ornate Sterling Silver Frame. It is a good size measuring 10" to top of silver bale to bottom of hem excluding strap. The frame is nearly 6 3/4" wide and 1 3/4" wide excluding bale. The frame depicts a Christian Biblical Scene w/historic figures. The frame has European hallmarks...many many as you see in photo. Lining in tact and good condition.
