The cars are silvered and have windows and trim painted red and green. The tops of the cars are gold. There is a silver bead between each car. One car is broken but all of the other cars are in wonderful condition. The chain is 58 inches long.

Then the candles stood straight and burned evenly so that wax drippings were kept at a minimum. Nonetheless they had saucers to catch drippings. The leaded weight at the bottom of these candle holders is in the shape of a pine cone. Each holder is 6 1/2 inches long. Circa: 1879-1880. antikhaus has 6 candle holder ...click for details

This is a pressed cardboard calendar top which was made in Germany around 1950. It was made to be used with a small calendar pad but such a pad was never attached to this top. Perhaps because this particular 'Merry Christmas' design was produced for export. Therefore there are no holes or markings at the bottom. Such decorations were recycled, when the year came to an end, as wall decorations in subsequent years. The decoration is air-brushed and decorated with glitter. It is marked ' ...click for details

Once used at Christmas time with a creche or in a putz scene, we now enjoy decorating with them all year around, such soft woolly sheep.
