Another stunning item from the antikhaus collection - vintage-style Victorian Easter egg candy containers. These wonderful eggs are made exclusively for us by a small cottage industry in Germany. The smaller eggs are approximately 4 3/4 inches long and 3 1/8 wide or deep; the larger eggs are about 6 inches x 4 inches. This rabbit candy container is from our Werner Brauer Collection. He is 13 1/2 inches tall and has a basket on his back. His head can be removed so his body can be filled with Easter goodies. He is made of papier-mâché using an original mold from the early 20th century. His soft brown eyes are glass. Mr. Brauer hand-paints all of his items in a small studio in Germany. The egg in the rabbit's basket is not part of this sale but also available from antikhaus. Please inquire.
