| Truly unique! This French majolica asparagus platter and cradle combination is not marked other than with numbers and perhaps a decorator's mark (see picture of bottom of cradle). The hand-painted flowers and insects are quite vivid and make it perfect for both an elegant or a country-style table. The platter is approximately 13 1/2 inches x 10 inches,the cradle 8 1/2 inches long, 5 3/4 inches wide and 3 inches high. There is one slight chip on the platter (tip of asparagus spear). And some very fine crazing. Circa: 1900. | |||||||
