| What a knock-out!!! This wonderful majolica dessert set was made by Villeroy & Boch in Schramberg, Germany. It is pure Art Nouveau, decorated with late-blooming larger snowdrops and forget-me-nots. These plates as well as the serving plate are incised around the edges. The large oval cake plate is marked as is one of the dessert plates - there are six in all. They are 6 3/4 inches in diameter and in near pristine condition with no fleabites or crazing. On the backs there are the remains of fabric wall hangers. The oval serving plate has beautiful ornate handles. It has only one or two extremely tiny fleabites and no crazing. There is some minimal scratching on the surface. Otherwise pristine condition. Including the handles it is 15 1/4 inches x 10 1/2 inches. Circa: 1900-1910. | |||||||||
