| This sitting rabbit is 7 inches tall and the head can be removed to put sweets into the container body. Our partner MAROLIN® produces these German folk art candy containers in the Thuringian forests of the eastern part of Germany. The artists at MAROLIN® use original early 20th century molds and their own special paper-mâché. Their recipe for paper-mâché is over 100 years old and and a trade secret. First the special mixture is poured into the plaster of Paris mold which absorbs the moisture. After 6 days the mold can be opened and the figures are ready to be 'baked' at 70°C. Then the rabbits are hand-painted and their glass eyes are attached. | ||||||
