| Such a rare find! This lovely set made by Villeroy & Boch in Septfontaines, Luxemburg is in excellent condition for its age -- approximately 1890. There are six plates all with a lovely edelweiss decor. One plate has an original flaw which is a small area on the rim where there is no glaze. Some of the other plates have minuscule pin points on the rims where the glaze did not quite cover the pottery. And there is perhaps a bit of a rough edge on one of the plates, too. Yet all of these flaws are almost impossble to detect. The cakestand is in mint condition with a wonderful chime when tipped. None of the pieces are crazed and all are marked. The plate picture with more flowers on the rim is the top of the cakestand. | |||||||
