KD3 Decorative Arts was founded in Crystal Lake in 1995 to provide high quality custom wood finishing services to custom cabinet makers, interior designers, architects and homeowners.
In 2006, as demand for our craftsmanship grew, we moved to larger premises that encompass our Workshop, our Design Atelier and our 5000 square foot Showroom. Our goal remains - we help homeowners and design professionals bring their ideas to reality. Working together we create beautiful, functional environments.
Our Showroom features many of our restorations, as well as our collection of antique, vintage and mid-century furniture. We have a fine selection of decorative art and accessories and a tasteful array of fine art. We inventory a wide variety of collectibles - many are already refurbished or restored - immediately available to enhance your home or office. Others await your personal touch. By customizing your choice with our selections of wood finish and fabrics - we'll be able to fulfill your vision.
We delight in being able to restore your own treasured heirlooms. No task is too large or too small. Whether you'd prefer the exact duplicate of the original finish, or a customized statement that reflects your current environment and taste, we'll create a finished product that will make you proud.
Our easy-to-use Design Resource space features a selection of wood finish samples, fabrics, upholstery trim; made-to-order wood and upholstered seating and a variety of useful, unique and beautiful items. All of our tools are here to assist you in creating the home or work environment you envision.
