An American Rococo carved and laminated rosewood sofa, mid-19th c., attributed to J. & J.W. Meeks, New York, in the pattern referred to as "Henry Ford." The crest is pierced, gadrooned and floral carved, centered by a cluster cartouche, serpentine arms and seat rail on cabriole legs.
