Rare Oak Extra Grade Wooton Patent Secretary c.1874-84. Originally a special design ordered for John D. Rockefeller. Slightly smaller in scale, it has different gilt incised carvings than other Wooton desks. This desk features an ingenious system of rotating writing board supports, ebonized details, solid bronze hardware and a gold tooled leather writing surface. Both styles of extra grades were produced in very limited quantities and are much more rare and collectable today.
