The hand-painted fish and marine flora are tactile and exceptional on this Doulton jar, made in England circa 1890. The finely wrought fittings are silver plate, marked only with the number 13. The ceramic jar measures 4 inches in height and about 3-3/4 inches in diameter and has a printed mark, a faint impressed mark and the painter's cipher on the base. Originally used as a condiment jar with a fish set the jar also is appropriate for preserves, sauce or honey.

There is a well-defined pineapple in this circa 1840 English ironstone mold, with uncharacteristic leaves covering its base. The pineapple was a highly prized fruit at the time, grown in the greenhouse, presented at the center of one's dessert table, and rented out to friends to recover some of the costs of producing the exotic fruit. The mold was used for jelly rather than steamed puddings. It measures 4-1/4 by 3 inches across the top and 2-1/8 inches tall, and is in mint condition.
