This is a meat platter: the channels, called tree, allow juices to drain into the well. The platter is in excellent condition with wear from usage, mostly on the reverse and slight buffering around the rim, but no chips, cracks or repairs. It is large and heavy and the uneven rim indicates that it was difficult to fire in the kiln and buckled slightly. The cobal ...click for details

Domino Ware was another line from TG Green pottery in England, in the same blue as Cornish Ware and with the white dots (spots) cut back from the blue ground - a costly manufacturing process for a commercial ware.
