Four-lobed, melon shaped decanter with sterling silver mounts at the neck and stopper. The decanter stands 10.25 inches (26 cm) tall with the stopper in place, and is 8 inches (20 cm) with the stopper removed. The neck of the bottle is sterling (not overlay), and is marked CCH DENMARK 925S 228. The flat, circular stopper is approximately 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) in diameter and 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) long including the sterling mount, which is also marked CCH 925S. The crystal bottle has a slight ice blue tint which Strombergshyttan is known for, and is marked on the base in script Strombergshyttan, and numbered E57. The bottle design dates from between 1936 and 1941 based on their numbering system, the E denotes the style - a decanter. Strombergshyttan outsourced their silver work to several silversmiths, and the mark CCH could stand for either (most likely) C.C. Holm (1893 - 1937) or C.C. Hermann (1949 - 1965). Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs. Age scratches to base as expected.
