EGYPTIAN SANDSTONE BUST OF AN OFFICIAL, 1550-1070 B.C.
Painted sand stone, New Kingdom circa Dynasty XVlll-XX, 1550 - 1070 BC. Wearing smooth shoulder length wig, including red brown for the flesh, black and white for eyes and brows, and blue for the wig. 3.5 inches high (8cms). With Superior Galleries, Los Angeles, 1975., Harer Family Trust collection. Exhibited: Los Angeles County musuem of Art, 1986 - 1991. San Bernardino University Art Gallery, California State University and elsewhere. Literature: G.D. Scott, lll, exhibition catalogue, Temple, Tomb and Dwelling, Egyptian Antiquities from the Harer Trust Collection, San Bernardino, 1992, no. 12, pp. 28-29. Culture: Egyptian.
