Large rectangular tablet with inscription in Old Babylonian cuneiform consisting of 35 lines covering both sides of the tablet, Old Babylonian. c. 1950 B.C. 12 cm. x 5.5 cm (4.7 by 2.2 inches). Fine terracotta cone from Lagash with Royal inscription in Sumerian cuneiform. A full reading of the inscription is given below and was supplied by Professor Lambert of Birmingham University. "For Ningirsu, the mighty warrior of Enlil, his lord, Gudea, governor of Lagash produced everything appropriate and built for him (the temple) Eninnu, his shining Imdugud-bird and restored it."
