Very Rare Canaanite Black Jasper Scarab 2000 - 1800 BC. This seal is made in the form of a sacred scarab beetle, which was a manifestation of khepri, an Egyptian sun god associated with resurrection. The flat underside of this scarab is decorated with circles, two with concentric circles inside, Choice condition with deep sharp carving. {KHEPRI ,A form of the sun-god, particularly associated with the morning sun, Khepri is represented by the scarab beetle and is associated with resurrection. Khepri was thought to push the sun disc through the sky, as a scarab beetle pushes a ball of dung containing its eggs.} 18th-16th Century BC. Excellent Condition, Intact, not repaired and not restored. Length: 15mm x 13mm Found in the Holy Land.

Very Rare Canaanite Purple Amethyst Scarab Amulet 2000 - 1800 BC. This seal is made in the form of a sacred scarab beetle, which was a manifestation of khepri, an Egyptian sun god associated with resurrection.
